Pixels, UX and Lots of Flights
for JetBlue Airways | 2018

After 10 years, JetBlue’s information display system was lagging behind. At the gate, there was no way to display more than the basics, like departure time and flight number. Pushing more information, like amenities in flight or standby lists to monitors would help free up agents’ time.

With the new system, gate agents can couple announcements with visuals to communicate things like the boarding process. The new monitors also rotate in a secondary language depending on flight, to aid customers whose first language may not be English.

Flight information monitors also received a refresh. The new monitors not only show flights, but also advertising and messaging when there is room on the screen.
